Owen now has his own column on the website of the BBC. For his fans in England he regularly talks about things that matter to him. In his current column he takes a closer look at David Beckham’s move to the Major League Soccer.
欧文现在在BBC上有了他自己的个人专栏。面对他在英国的球迷，他会有条理的谈论一些关于他自己的事情。
His friend and former England team-mate leaves Real Madrid in the summer to play for Los Angeles Galaxy. “If you look at Becks and what he has achieved at Manchester United and Real Madrid I think this is a good step for him,” said Owen.
他的朋友，前国家队队友将于夏天离开皇马去为洛杉矶银河队效力。欧文说：“只要你了解小贝对于曼联和皇马付出了多少，我认为这对他来说是个正确的选择。”
“There are a lot of players who have gone to play in Qatar or Dubai but personally I think it would be more interesting to be a part of something potentially big being built.” Owen is surprised by the reaction of Real Madrid to David Beckham’s decision to leave the club. The Spanish side announced that Beckham will not play again before his contract runs out in the summer. “Only Real know the reasons for that but it seems a bit spiteful,” said Owen.

“Players coming to the end of their contract are allowed to sign a contract with any club in January - that is the rule. At Bayern, Hasan Salihamidzic has just signed a deal with Juventus and I am sure he will play some games for us for the rest of the season.”

Besides his column Owen also answers questions from his fans. Kolow from England for example wanted to know what kind of things Owen’s doing in his spare time. “I watch a lot of the NBA,” Owen admitted. He also likes to listen to music, read a good book and go out for a late dinner. The next opportunity for a nice dinner could be as early as Saturday when Owen will celebrate his 27th birthday.
