So, here’s what happened with meeting and shooting with Taylor today if anyone cares + music video info etc I won Vevo’s Taylor Swift’s Biggest Fan contest along with 5 other fans, so I got to shoot and hang out with Taylor. I got to the studio around 12, and waited with the other fans until 2:15 when we started shooting with Taylor. We obviously were all about to die since we went through a huge process getting here. We knew that management had seen our videos, but immediately when Taylor came on she hugged us and talked to us about our videos. KNOWING SHE SAW MY VIDEO, MY ROOM, MY WHOLE SPEECH KILLED ME. There’s so much I wanted to say to her about how she changed my life, so I’m glad she saw the video and got to hear that rather than me, like, try to formulate sentences. She hugged and talked to each of us a little, knew our names already, and we just got to ask her some questions as they filmed. We asked her about the new music video for We Are Never, and she said it was shot last week and should be coming out next week. It was a one take video, and the costumes she described will slay you. Like, she puts her band through so much. We asked her about how she picked “We Are Never” as a single, and how much pressure that was. She was so excited about the biggest opening week, and was saying how she basically played it for her pop star friends and also her indie/hipster friends and when they both agreed that it was a catchy song she knew she had to make it the lead single. Then I showed her how I get down to WANEGBT and she was like, “Oh, is that your move to it?!” and started doing it with me. SHE GYRATED WITH ME YOU GUYS. In my head I was like “bitch you are embarrassing yourself” but I couldn’t stop and we just laughed about it together. We started filming then, and had all these lines. We were obviously really nervous and messed up a mili times, but she went along with everything and made us laugh at ourselves. She just bantered with us inbetween takes which was amazing. She would talk in these little accents and was so witty. Then when she was talking to the other fans who are gonna be watching this video, she let us know that us 6 were invited to the opening night of the Red tour! I basically lost it and we all started getting emotional. She gave us a group hug and then I was like behind her about to PASS OUT and she laughed and hugged me again saying “You’re so adorable!” I asked for a medic on the set but everyone ignored me so I almost died. So we filmed a little more, and then we went to a different set for a quick promo shoot. We got to talk a little while waiting for the crew to be ready, and we talked about SNL. She said she would LOVE to host again, and I asked for her Shakira impersonation. SLAYED YOU GUYS SO FUNNY. She did a little bit of the Bunny song and another Shakira song, and I was lIke “Wow Taylor, you know if this whole songwriting thing didn’t work out you could have totally made it as a Shakira tribute artist,” and she said “Oh yeah because there’s a HUGE market for that right now.” God she was so cute. So we waited as she did her promo shots and then we took some with her. It was a closed set, so you aren’t gonna be seeing any pictures from today until we’re sent them when the video is released. It’s gonna be out late September or before Red. Anyways, afterwards Andrea came out and talked to us about our videos too, and she was SO amazing. We got the WANEGBT bag that’s in the store right now and a bottle of Wonderstruck. We also got Taylor greeting cards which are marvelous. She could only sign one thing each, and I chose my You Belong With Me 8x10 because it’s just iconic Taylor. In hindsight I wish I brought a litho, but it’s alright. She had to leave after to shoot her Target commercial, and I was like I WORK AT TARGET and we had a mini convo about that. She hugged us goodbye and we waited outside to watch her leave. She was literally everything people say she is, and spending that time with her with just 5 other people was the best experience of my life. After lunch we shot some more stuff for Vevo, including a music video and interview. Don’t judge us you guys, because by the interviews we were all so exhausted that our answers probably don’t sound like we’re real fans. Oh and they kept calling us Swifties but also not our fault. I can’t wait for you guys to see it. Literally the best 6 and a half hours of my life. I can’t wait for the Red tour now and hopefully to meet her again there! I should add that the other 5 fans were all AMAZING people and I’m so lucky to get to meet them. We each represented a key part of the Taylor Nation and were different but so much alike.
