MARTIN HENDERSON
Heath and Martin have been friends ever since they acted together in the Australian TV show Sweat.
"Heath and I have always had a friendship. When I met Heath there was something extremely charismatic about him. The guy struck me from the moment I met him. Obviously he had talent, and I convinced him to move out of Perth and come to Sydney. So I just convinced him to do that and looked after him when he arrived. He's someone I can always call to be supportive and give good advice. When I turned up in LA, he really took me under his wing."

He’s so watchable on screen, beautiful to look at, intriguing. He’s a real leading man but not indulgent at all. As a person, he’s childlike and has lots of energy. He strolls into the room like a big panther, very tall and long. He’s warm and generous to everyone around him."

"Heath was fine - he refused make-up and styling (which magazines so often insist on) and so once we'd blown them out we just spent a morning at my apartment then walked around the neighbourhood. Job done he walked home. He seemed a nice guy."

"He's walking around with a $40 million plus film on his shoulders like he's been doing it all his life. I just have to laugh at those posters, though. They make him look so butch."

Shannyn, A Knight's Tale's Jocelyn, felt comfortable around Heath during her very first time in front of the camera.
"He's awesome! He's really, really charming, sexy, and just himself and natural, and he made it very easy for me to work with him."

BRIAN HELGELAND
Brian, A Knight's Tale director, agrees that Heath's just as centered as any experienced actor.
"He's good looking...but beyond that, I think he has a strong sense of himself....but it's especially amazing in someone so young, because usually male stars don't develop that kind of thing until their thirties. I don't know anyone who has a voice like he has; he's channeled a Richard Burton voice, but he has a very kind of powerful nuanced voice that I really enjoy. But I hate to say because it is such a cliche at this point but I think he has a wisdom beyond his years. I have met his family so many times and he see***ike the father of this big extended family, and he feels like he is the father of a whole group of them. They all kind of look to him for guidance; he has this kind of odd maturity to him."

Naomi and Heath met while filming Ned Kelly(法外狂徒) together in 2002.
"I was blown away by Heath. He's very intense and so supportive. He's a sensitive person with an old soul. He is a very passionate guy. He's always doing something, even if he's sitting still; he's got a million things going on in his mind."

"Heath was never a normal 18-year-old. He was worldly, articulate and not overwhelmed by things at all. He's way older than his years."

TERRY GILLIAM
Terry Gilliam of "Monty Python" fame saw the comedian in Heath and knew he was right for The Brothers Grimm (神鬼克星).
"I met Heath in LA, and he was very different than the kind of characters he's played. He couldn't stop moving and was nervous and twitching and doing things, and I said this guy is great, as he really intrigued me. I'd seen him in 'Monster's Ball', which I thought he was fantastic in, and so I said, 'OK, he's on.'"
