Tell any thirty plus, green tea-spinning , traffic-snarled taxi driver across China that you are from India and he will almost spontaneously belt out Awara Hoon Mein - a 1950's Raj Kapoor Bollywood medley that had the entire nation gyrating to his tunes.
在中国，要是见到任何一个三十多岁，…(不知道绿茶色的东西是指啥)，每日与喧嚣难搞的交通奋战的出租车的哥(台湾是说「计程车司机」) ，跟他说自己是从印度来的，他可能会不由自主地提到1950年代宝莱坞红翻天了的一部巨作－《流浪者》，这是由拉吉·卡浦尔主演、导演兼制片的作品，当时印度全国人民都疯狂地爱上了戏中的主题曲《流浪者之歌/拉兹之歌》，可以常常看到人们随之起舞。

everything and love reunites all.

Striking the right chord, Ma Yue, an editor with Shanghai Daily says, "I like the film. Rancho is a unique student, different from others. He dares to disobey unreasonable school principles and challenge authorities." She admires his independent mind, which is what a lot of Chinese students who have grown up in an exam-oriented education system also adore. "Rancho is smart and has his own definition of success," Ma adds.

In a nation that has seen more change in this decade than it ever saw in a millennia of history, 3 Idiots has brought to light the common problems at the root of

Chinese and Indian society. Highlighting exactly what the people feel is wrong with the education system in both nations in a fun and entertaining way, the movie helps alleviate people from the strain of excelling in education , cutting into university through the difficult Gao Kao system and making a grade in a population of a billion plus where everybody aspires to be a manager of a big international firm. "It's a brilliant Indian film. You can see from the film that China and India share a similar education system and there's a huge gap in people's incomes," says Ask Sky, a visitor on douban-. com. "It's relaxing, funny, makes you cry while showing the positive side of life. It talked about dreams and career. To do what one feels like to do is the best achievement, Sky adds.

The super hit success of 3 Idiots across China is the reaction of a society that is dealing with the pressures of performance stemming from the one-child policy, an education system that favours learning by rote and a Confucian belief that every child is the same and will therefore excel equally. Like in India, China's education system doesn't seek to treasure or cultivate the hidden talents of its myriad children , which is the crux of 3 Idiots .

"Rancho has been telling us to live a simple life, listen to our hearts and live for ourselves ," says Lan Die, a housewife in Hong Kong. "Most of us are living a life that has been lived by others. How different would the world be if we could break conventions and follow our own heart?" added another subscriber on Weibo. This argument bodes very well for the Chinese who while being releuctant let go of their 5000 years of history are still keen to explore the wide world, follow their dreams, realise their aspirations and become thinking, active participants of a dynamic world. Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots just reminded them of that.

All Izz Well is the most popular Bollywood song in China after Raj Kapoor's Aawara Hoon. In Hong Kong, 3 Idiots grossed Rs 90 lakh in the first two weeks and has collected Rs 5.9 cr by the end of the sixth week. In Mainland China, although 3 Idiots hasn't been officially released, word of mouth has made it the highest selling Bollywood film in the illegal market, where the film is subtitled in Mandarin
and Cantonese. Estimates suggest over 1.3 lakh Chinese have watched the film, with many of them having seen it multiple times.
All Izz Well已经成为在中国最受欢迎的宝莱坞歌曲。在香港，《三个傻瓜》在上映两周后票房达到900万卢比的毛利额，在第六周结束放映时总共累积了5千9百万卢比的超好票房。在中国，虽然没有官方正式发行，经过口耳相传，在黑市中还是成为销售最好的宝莱坞电影。粗略估计应该有超过1万3千个中国人已经看过这部电影，而且很多朋友还常回味再三。
