Madison Marigold (“Madison”) was born on January 13, 1999 and is originally from Los Angeles, California. She started singing at the age of 10, writing and recording most of her own music. She started piano lessons at age 8 and the interest in guitar developed soon after. Her love for the acoustic guitar has given her the opportunity to perform unplugged sets in some of her performances. Madison’s career in music has just started to develop with recent performances along the West Coast including, performances for charity foundations and local LA events,also reaching a growing International audience online via Youtube.
Not many posses a very rare ability that Madison brings along with her music, which is the ability to sing in fluent Mandarin. Her mother, a frequent traveler to China and Asia for business, had the idea to enroll Madison in Mandarin classes understanding that this market was growing very quickly and that the desire for western arts and culture in China was rapidly increasing. Madison is a natural at learning new things, in addition to music she continues to excel in school with all AP classes and an above 4.0 GPA, therefore it was no surprise when she swiftly became proficient in this most challenging but widely used language.
Madison has a heart for giving back. The motto that she coined is “Work Hard, Give Freely.” This is important for her to live out, as receiving never quite has the value that giving does. Along with performing and learning, Madison loves her two Chihuahuas, the color yellow, movies, sour patch candy, fashion, Ti Kwan Yin, Chinese food (dumplings: xiaolongbao), and spending time with her family.
Madison is an AP student in school taking her studies extremely serious and pushing her young fans to also make this a priority in life. She will quickly become a frontrunner for cross-cultural understanding in the music industry making a small world even smaller. As the buzz continues to grow on Madison, both American and International tours are being planned for 2016.
