出道时候LeAnn Rimes还是一派结合了民谣和R&B风格的歌手，大约那时的嗓音也没有如今这样厚实，在中音区力道不足，而高音区虽然不能达到都高的位置，却自有一番韵味。很想将她的这首电影女郎俱乐部的主题曲跟珍珠港的主题曲相比。确实两首歌曲有太多相似的地方，也许因为同样是电影歌曲的原因，I NEED YOU 的旋律走向有着典型的电影歌曲的方式，大气而缠绵的旋律使歌曲在内涵上写得比较有高度，而最重要的是歌手本身的表现力也是非同一般的犀利，两首歌曲最令人惊异的是歌手的嗓音，竟然有八分相似。难道LeAnn Rimes 使FAITHHILL的入室弟子？非也，LeAnn Rimes 的确是自成一派，经过自己多年的摸索方才到达这样的水平。随艘知道她多年前就凭借自己的创作歌曲获得过格莱美奖，现在依然是美国歌坛不多的玉女型创作歌手。

很难想象一位刚满18岁的女孩五年来在全球接连创下惊天成绩，六年前这个黄毛丫头跌破媒体眼镜夺下格莱美奖年度新人，五年后的今天他以电影《女狼俱乐部》主题曲Can't Fight The Moonlight撂下全英单曲榜后座，引发全球的《女狼音乐热潮》，到现在仍是最in的歌曲。LeAnn Rimes的歌声有种穿越时空的迷人魔力，当小女孩站在镁光灯聚焦的舞台上，用她对音乐的无限热情开口高歌时，总带来不少人及的瞬间感动。而嘹亮的嗓音成为她进攻歌坛的武器，但是难能可贵的部分在于LeAnn的歌声充满蕴藏内心的纤细能量，每个音符转换和对歌曲的掌握都印证她的一鸣惊人其来有自。

96年Blue专辑一首周12万张的销售打入告示牌专辑榜第三名，写下最年轻新人的纪录，紧接着单曲One Way Tight In Your Eyes等歌曲迭创佳绩，97年的全美音乐奖首先颁发年度新人给LeAnn，接着第39届格莱美奖不但封她为年度乡村女歌手，还让她已13岁的年级拿下年度新人，成为当年歌坛话题，Blue专机到今天全美销售突破700万张。 


　 97年LeAnn的歌唱事业一帆风顺，先是出版老歌重唱专辑Unchained Melody: The Early Years，在发表You Light Up My Life: Inspirational Songs,两张都是首周发行及登上流行专辑榜冠军的作品，后者的首支主打歌How do I Live从97年6月进入全美流行榜以来，即停留69周的纪录，成为告示牌杂志史上停留周数最长的单曲，超过三百万张的销售和四周亚军堪称90年代乐坛最经典作品，为LeAnn的歌唱生涯再创高峰。 


　 98年4月LeAnn为电影动画片《魔剑奇兵》柔情演唱大卫佛斯特和Carole Bayer Sager合写的Looking Through Your Eyes掀起情歌风潮，接着五月发表第四张专辑Sittin' On Top of the World中，还精彩诠释Prince的经典Purple Rain。99年LeAnn除了参加第二届Divas Live演唱会How do I Live外，也和偶像Elton John合唱音乐剧《阿依达》主题曲Written In The Stars，并发表同名专辑，以演唱多首影响LeAnn的经典旧作和小女认为十足的新造型出发，为她的演唱事业缔造好评。

2000年对LeAnn Rimes而言又是挑战连连，经过休息后以电视迷你影集《Jesus》的一曲I Need You进占全美流行榜Top 20,接着在电影《女狼俱乐部》原声带挑大梁，四首和词曲女王Diane Warren合作的作品，将18岁少女迷人的特质完美发挥。在电影的传播下，不但原声带大卖，单曲Can't Fight The Moonlight还一举将LeAnn Rimes成功推向国际市场，夺得英国、澳洲等地的排行冠军，也让原声带风靡全球，再度引发《黎安现象》
