Composer fights for Celtic Woman royalties
The composer and musical director David Downes has brought an action for royalties that he claims he is owed from Celtic Woman, the all-female Irish ensemble he co-founded.
He is seeking judgment for $640,000 (€561,000), with additional amounts in royalties and net profits, that he says he is due for services in relation to the music production Celtic Woman. In a counterclaim Celtic Woman Ltd says that it is owed $1 million by Mr Downes, which he denies.
