Over 4,000 visitors celebrated 50 years of Elastmetall
50 years of Elastmetall in Damme: On Saturday, more than 4,000 visitors came to the factory in Damme for the big family day. On 28 April 1967 the entrepreneur Dr. Jürgen Ulderup, together with his son Christian Peter Ulderup, founded Elastmetall Damme GmbH. Today, the company is headquartered in Damme under the umbrella brand BOGE Rubber & Plastics.
Based on the title motto from Jules Verne's novel "In 80 Days Around the World", BOGE Elastmetall in Damme said on this family day: "In a day around the entire BOGE world". Visitors were able to enter the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia on the site. Land-like entertainment and regional culinary delights were a source of enthusiasm among young and older visitors alike. The individual stations could be reached by a tramway over stops.
A highlight was the Air Fun Autokran, where visitors from a height of 40 meters had an impressive view from the top of the entire BOGE world in Damme. The program also included a bouncy castle, stunt show, bungee trampoline jumping, football freestyle, go-karting, children's make-up and segway.
Visitors were also able to experience the rubber-metal and plastic production at factory rounds.
Congratulations and good wishes for the future were in the greetings, the Mike Otte, one of the Deputy Mayor of the city Damme, Dr. Jun Yang, CEO of the Chinese owner TMT, Dr. Torsten Bremer, CEO of BOGE Rubber & Plastics, Ulrich Ehrhardt, Plant Manager Damme, and Chairman of the Works Council, Antonius Thölken, directed the employees at the Damme site.

Today, the company is managed under the umbrella of BOGE Rubber & Plastics. The company group, headquartered in Damme, is today one of the world's leading suppliers of vibration and plastic solutions in the automotive industry. At the Damme site alone, more than 1,000 employees are employed who generate sales of more than € 280 million annually.
