My theory is that hohners diatonic reeds are slightly lower and not exactly 100% pitch perfect which is why they are perfect for blues and country. I find susuki more melodic and decent for jazz, classical or more oriental music with alternative scales.

I prefer harps which are cheekily disposable. Sometimes I like to break them apart and see if I can modify them in some way. So a broken harp is just as creatively rewarding as a straight out of the box one.
