En fugl i hånden er bedre end ti på taget. ”One bird in the hand is better than ten on the roof.” It’s better to have something real than a lot of crazy dreams. 双鸟在林不如一鸟在手。

’At sluge en kamel’ ：to swallow a camel
For a Dane it’s not ’a hard pill to swallow’, it feels more like ‘swallowing a camel’.
This expression is used when you want to say that you had/have to accept something that you don’t like or something that contradicts your beliefs and wishes.
对丹麦人来讲，不是难以吞咽的药丸，而是吞下一头骆驼。这个短语的使用情景是，你想表达必须接受不喜欢的事物或与自己信仰和愿望相悖的东西，请看例句：
’Det er ikke en anden løsning. Jeg er nødt til at sluge en kamel.’ (There is no other solution. I'll have to accept it even though I don’t like.)

Nothing goes haywire (wrong) for Danes. Instead, there might go cake in it.

‘Spis lige brød til’ translates to ‘Have some bread with that’ and is a phrase usually used to say take a breath to someone who has worked hard for something difficult.
意思就是做困难的事情时不要太用力，喘口气缓一缓

Fra børn og fulde folk skal man høre sandheden. ”From children and drunk people you’ll hear the truth.” 酒后吐真言，童颜无忌。人们从孩童和醉鬼口中得到真相。

The devil is popular in the Danish language and we have several expressions with the Bible’s Bad Boy. In fact, Danes rarely take the Lord's name in vain, but the devil is another matter.
