Kris Allen Is Straight Gangsta
Kris Allen turned a five-song acoustic set at Live In The Vineyard in Napa on Sunday evening into mashup heaven for those in attendance, mixing in a little Coolio with Kanye West and a little U2 with Swell Season.
Kris started his set with "Live Like We're Dying", then did his acoustic version of "Man In The Mirror" before debuting a song from his album, "Let It Rain". And then Kris REALLY got creative. He played "Falling Slowly" and then mixed in a little "With Or Without You". He finished his set with "Heartless", mixed up with "Gangsta's Paradise". Yes, Kris Allen did two of his own songs and covered Michael Jackson, The Swell Season, U2, Kanye West and Coolio in a five-set concert. UNREAL.
I had a few friends tweeting from the venue (@hazel_eyes11 and @cardfan99), and they said that "Let It Rain" is "an amazing song" and that Kris got a standing ovation from the entire room when he finished (he was the only one of those who had performed to receive one).
Live in the Vineyard promises to have videos up in a few days. As soon as those bad boys get added on UTube, I'll post them. I cannot wait to see this!
