For singer Lisa Lambe, it was as if Tuesday’s pink moon had arrived in celebration, bestowing her light on all those below. The Dubliner’s latest album Juniper has just been released and most of the songs on it have been inspired by the moon and the jewelled skies of Connemara.
Even though they are physically out of reach for most of us at the moment, Lisa Lambe’s beautiful record immerses the listener in the landscape that fired up her imagination.
‘If I finish a play or a project I always tend to go to pack the car and go to the west coast somewhere, get to the Atlantic, walk the beaches,’ says Lisa.
‘I love the quiet and I love the countryside so that is something I would always do, to try and unravel the mind a bit.’
