游戏存在一个2020年就已创立的包，其SubID为499466，凌晨更名为“Project8-StagingforBetaTesting”，预示着《Deadlock》已开启一定规模的测试。
此前的泄露称游戏提供19+名英雄，游戏更新文件列出了下列25位英雄的名称：
abrams、archer、astro、bebop、chrono、digger、forge、geist、gigawatt、haze、hornet、inferno、kelvin、lash、mirage、nano、pocket、prof_dynamo、shiv、tengu、viscous、warden、wraith、wrecker、yamato。
